- Affiliate links. Some links (for example to passport photo or expediting services) may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Using any paid service is optional.
- Featured listings. Businesses may pay a fee for a featured listing or placement.
How paid placement is labeled
Anything a business paid to place is labeled Sponsored right next to it, and affiliate links are labeled as affiliate links. Today, no listing on this site is a paid placement.
What money never changes
- The official U.S. Department of State route (acceptance facilities, passport agencies, and renewing by mail or online through travel.state.gov) is always shown first, before any paid option.
- Payment never changes facility data, fees or rules, which come from the State Department.
- Payment never changes any rating or the order of reviews. (We don't publish ratings or reviews today.)
